First Friday Concert Series | Oakland

Every First Friday after Art Murmur in Oakland, The Uptown holds a free concert featuring local musicians and beyond covering indie rock, electronica, hip hop and everything in between.

There is no cover, doors open at 6 pm and the show starts at 9 pm.

The Uptown Nightclub is closed as of November 6, 2014.

Papercuts’ sound is definitely fresh and new, but it’s also strangely familiar, like a modern indie twist on some cool classic lounge tunes you’ve heard from the ’60s. Maybe you could call it “Summer Lounge Music from a sad beach.”
