The final day of the annual Fleet Week airshow. The Blue Angels will perform around 3pm, but there’s much more in store. Prior to the Angles see F-16 Vipers, and F//A-18 Super Hornet, a Patriot Jet demonstration, a 747, free tours of military ships and much more.
Anywhere in North Beach, Financial District (on a roof), Fisherman’s Wharf or the Marina should give you a good view. The basic rule is if you hear a loud noise, look up! [map]
Sunday, 10 October:
– 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Static displays on Marina Green, Space exibit at Fort Mason
– 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. All SanFrancisco Fleet Week Ships open for tours at Pier 27, Pier 35 and Piers 30-32, Humanitarian Assistance Photo Display aboard Eureka at Hyde Street Pier
– 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Fleet Week BBQ at Pier 30-32 for Sailors and Marines
– 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. PIER 39’s Entrance Plaza Stage, Peninsula Scout Band
– 12:30 p.m. Italian Heritage / Fleet Week Parade, 1st MarDiv Band Concert at Washington Square
– 1p.m. – 4 p.m. Air Show with Blue Angels performance 3-4 p.m.
– 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. PIER 39’s Entrance Plaza Stage, Wonder Bread 5 Band Performance
