Haight & Laguna | Haight St. and Laguna St., San Francisco, CA

Event Details

Join Flickr for a walk along historic Haight Street, starting at 1 pm in the Lower Haight, through Haight-Ashbury, and ending in upper Haight.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

The walk starts at Haight and Laguna, out to Haight and Ashbury and ends at Divisadero and Hayes (a loop, instead of straight along Haight Street).

The organizers have informally planned to talk with the artists of the ABSOLUT Open Canvas project at the end of the walk. You’ll be going to check out the art going up live and talk with the crew that is working on it.

Haight Street was the center of the ‘Summer of Love’ social movement of the 1960s and maintains its bohemian feel along with lots and lots of street art, many classic ‘painted lady’ Victorian houses, as well as the many nods to the counter-culture.
