FOG India Independence Day Parade (Fremont)

The FOG India Day Parade this year is on August 16, 2026 from 11am to 1pm in Fremont. Celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day and America’s 250th birthday. Featuring more than 100 parade entries, vibrant cultural displays, and participation from Indian regional groups and diverse communities including Jewish, Buddhist, Burmese, Filipino, Taiwanese and others, it draws thousands of attendees each year. Bollywood stars Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani as Grand Marshals will add to the excitement to the Parade. The parade runs along Capitol Ave. and Paseo Padre Parkway, creating a festive, family‑friendly atmosphere that highlights unity, shared democratic values, and community pride.
