Eccentric duo Birds of Chicago is made up of husband and wife team JT Nero and Allison Russell. Quoted as being “constant vagabonds,” these troubadours tour internationally 10 months of the year. That’s a lot of touring. Their sound is a fusion of soulful country and grassroots folk that harkens to a simpler time. You haven’t heard harmonies like this since Fleetwood Mac.
They’ll be spreading their wings and landing at Slim’s soon, so don’t miss out. Their next stop’ll probably be in Taiwan.
