Event Details

Join us on May 19th and/or 20th from 6-10pm to see a double feature of two great films about food. Featuring Food and Popcorn from Bi-Rite Market.

‘In Search of Good Food’ follows Antonio Roman-Alcalá, an urban farming activist from San Francisco, on his search for the “sustainable” food system in California. The film attempts to answer the question: does the sustainable food system actually exist? And if it doesn’t, what is preventing it from becoming reality? http://insearchofgoodfood.org/

‘The Greenhorns’ explores the lives of America’s young farming community – its spirit, practices, and needs. It is the filmmaker’s hope that by broadcasting the stories and voices of these young farmers, we can build the case for those considering a career in agriculture – to embolden them, to entice them, and to recruit them into farming. http://www.thegreenhorns.net/
