Event Details

In recent years, there’s been increasing public awareness about the 60 billion+ pounds of food thrown away each year.

Our food system is ripe with inefficiencies and opportunities to divert soon-to-be-wasted food to good use. In this Local Food Lab panel, we’ll highlight organizations which are tackling the food waste challenge via a range of strategies: new technologies to convert food waste to energy, startups which find buyers of unsold crops and groceries, tools for supply chain companies and caterers, among others.

Free, but an RSVP is required. Unfortunately, tickets are now sold out.

Panelists:
Roger Gordon, Co-Founder, Food Cowboy
Stu Rudick, Co-Founder, FoodStar Partners and Social Impact Investor, Mindfull Investors
Anea Botton, Valley Girls Foodstuffs
Patricia Kelly, Business Development, Lean Path
Ashley Beleny, PR, Zero Waste Energy
Toine Timmermans, Coordinator, EU FUSIONS project (Food Use for Social Innovation by Optimizing waste prevention Strategies)
