Who invented chop suey? Where do fortune cookies come from?
New York Times reporter Jennifer 8. Lee writes about this and more in her book The Fortune Cookie Chronicles: Adventures in the World of Chinese Food. It is the Chinatown Public Library’s our On the Same Page book club selection for January and February.
In this book reading & signing, the author discusses her book, a deliciously entertaining history of the Chinese food industry in the United States.
