About the guest
Sasha Abramsky is a widely published freelance journalist focusing on social justice. His work appears in The Nation, Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker Online, The Guardian, Rolling Stone and many other venues. He writes a regular column on politics for The Sacramento Bee. Abramsky is the author of eight books, including The American Way of Poverty, The House of Twenty Thousand Books, and most recently, Jumping at Shadows. He teaches writing at UC Davis.
