Come out and enjoy Concord’s Home Town Parade, Picnic and Fireworks, taking place at Mt. Diablo High School (only three blocks from Todos Santos Plaza), on July 4, 2018.
The festivities start at 7 am with day of registration and goody bag pick up, music and sponsors’ booths. The Free Kids Fun Run will be held at 8 am followed by the 5K at 8:15am. Our own home baseball team mascot, Stomper the Elephant from the Oakland A’s will be on hand to visit with the kids, pose for photos and start off both races, greeting the kids as they cross the finish line for the Kid’s Fun Run. Uncle Sam from the Singing Flag will also be joining us.
We will have 2 water stops/aid stations on the course at miles 1 & 2 and a ton of delicious and refreshing post-race goodies at the finish. After the race, grab a spot to watch Concord’s entertaining 4th of July Parade starting at 10am, complete with floats, bands, equestrian & dance teams and more.
At 4 pm, the gates will open for the fifth annual 4th of July Festival with a kids carnival, food booths, vendor exhibits, and live entertainment on stage.
The day will conclude with a 9 pm fireworks display that will not disappoint.
Parade is free but if you’re going to join the Fun Run, Entry fee is $37.00 Online by June 4th or from June 5th until July 3rd for a fee of 42.00, please see the website for more details.
