Event Details

Blending music, theater, and storytelling, this interdisciplinary performance invites audiences into the emotional landscape of aging and dementia. Through the story of Mr. K—portrayed in three versions shaped by normal aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and frontotemporal dementia—the piece offers a sensory journey guided by an AI narrator and performed by live musicians. Created by İdil Özkan, Hellman Artist in Residence at UCSF, the work draws on personal and scientific insight to explore memory, identity, and what it means to grow older.
