Free Afternoon Show of Local Punk, Ska and Metal Bands | Thee Parkide

Start your Saturday shenanigans with a free afternoon rock show that spans three styles of local acts: punk, ska and metal. It’s in the middle of Thee Parkside’s happy hour (when well drinks are just $3) which starts at 3 p.m. Bands start playing around 5 p.m.

San Jose’s ska-punk band Point of View is playing as part of its West Coast tour. Recently added was San Francisco’s all-women trash-metal-punk outfit Binky. Oakland’s New Hope For The Dead! rounds up the set and features John Dalton of The Angry Amputees, singing and playing bass despite having no legs or fingers. Should be quite a reunion of characters.
