Free Beer Tasting & Q&A with Berkeley Brewing Science | Laughing Monk Brewing

This is beyond cool… and nerdy.

Laughing Monk Brewing has collaborated with Berkeley Brewing Science (BBS) to select a new yeast strain that incorporates genes extracted from basil and mint plants to produce some amazing flavor additions. Control is a beautifully clean American Pale ale (5.5% ABV) and Science is the exact same beer, fermented instead with BBS High Sierra Yeast. Both beers are awesome on their own or drank side-by-side for the best experience.

Come learn from BBS on Sunday, September 1st in their taproom on Egbert Ave. as they speak about their yeast engineering process and see for yourself how powerful yeast can be on the flavors and aromas of your favorite drink. Tasting starts at Noon with a special Q&A with BSS starting at 3 pm.
