Free Esta Noche Comedy Thursdays | Mission Dist.
Unfortunately , Esta Noche has closed.
Esta Noche has presented the Bay Area’s best progressive comedians free of charge in the heart of the Mission.
Now, new hosts are continuing the fun. Every Thursday, straight and gay comedians tell jokes on a stage that was built for drag queens.
- 1st Thursday of the month: Yuri Kagan and friends
- 2nd Thursday of the month: Emily Van Dyke and friends
- 3rd Thursday of the Month: “The Bitchslap” with hosts Eloisa Bravo and Kimberly Rose Wendt
- 4th Thursday of the month: Jessica Sele and friends
Esta Noche is a gay bar where everyone is welcome as long as they are 21 and over.
Comedy Bodega welcomes back Betsy Salkind (Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Showtime “Fierce, Funny Women.”) Betsy was also a staffwriter for “Roseanne” (the sitcom), and a jokewriter for Anthony Robbins.
She is best known for her squirrel impression and claims to hang her own drywall. The evening also features Yayne Abeba, a second generation Ethiopian, raised in Haight Asbury who pulls no punches in her comedy. Yayne has a one hour special on the Africa Channel, “Africa Laughs with Yayne Abeba.” Yuri Kagan and Mario Montes, two hilarious gentlemen, round out the bill.
Comedy Bodega producer Marga Gomez will host the 90 minute romp. Marga has been described as a legend, icon and even a doyenne of San Francisco comedy, but despite that she looks good.
