Be among the first to officially check out THE FUNCTION – San Francisco’s brand new full-time comedy club bringing back stand-up comedy and nightlife to Market Street.

You’re invited to check out this fire new comedy club and cocktail lounge co-owned by comedian Stroy Moyd – a plan 18 years in the making!

GRAND OPENING MONTH COMEDY LINEUP

Enjoy a 70+ minute show with 4-5 comics on the bill with credits like Cobbs, Punchline, SF Sketchfest, Clusterfest and Outside Lands.

• Monday: “Hayes Valley Comedy Night” plus a late night 10pm fun competition-style open-mic battle for budding Bay Area comedians.
• Tuesday: “Laugh GPT,” San Francisco’s first AI-powered comedy show, featuring a “live” robot delivering jokes and the audience votes who is funnier – AI or humans.
• Wednesday: “Comedians with Criminal Records,” where comics share their hilarious stories about brushes with the law, crimes, and narrow escapes plus a late night 10pm fun competition-style open-mic battle for budding Bay Area comedians.
• Thursday: “Black Laughs Matter,” celebrating the diversity and talent of Black comedians.
• Friday: “Rush Hour Comedy,” a fast-paced night of laughs to kickstart the weekend with the city’s top Asian and Black comedians.
• Saturday: “Crazy Funny Asians,” showcasing hilarious Asian comedians and stories.
• Sunday: “Strong Black Women of Comedy” – Enough said!

COCKTAILS, WINE, BEER + NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS

The Function is a full bar with revisited cocktail classics, draft beer, an extensive curated wine selection (with many by the glass), numerous non-alcoholic options along with the signature “Hot Spot Combo” – a beer, pony shot and a lottery scratcher for just $12 (limited to just 20 a day!) – to pay homage to the former dive bar that used to occupy this space.
