Tony Sparks, the Godfather of SF comedy, has advised, and supported hundreds of comics as the host of the longest running open mic in the Bay Area over the last 16 years. He’s celebrating his birthday by bringing in some of his wife’s oven baked cookies, homemade spinach dip with San Francisco sourdough bread, and cupcakes.

They are preceding the comedy with special musical guest Philp Engstrom, fresh off the release of his debut album My New Reality.

The headliner for this special show is Jesse Fernandaz (SF Punchline, Tommy T’s). While Jesse is loaded with charisma, it does not overshadow his high-minded joke writing. He utilizes these superb writing skills off stage as well as head writer at Ebaum’s World.

The rest of this lineup is stacked:

• Jason Dove (SF Punchline) is an outstanding high energy comic who’s undeniable likability not only comes through in his stand up but also as host of the classic rock radio show The Rock and Roll Coup Dètat with Eddie Winters
• Joey Avery (SJ Improv) was blessed with great observational skills and relatability. It has served him well sending him into the Finals of every comedy competition around (Rooster T’s, Walk the Plank, etc.) and made him one of the most viewed comics on Reddit.com
• Lalique d’Bruzzi (SF Punchline) is always hilarious, wether she is on stage putting audiences in stitches or putting somebody in check on Facebook for an ignorant post.
• Kekoa O’Brien’s clever joke writing has made his self deprecating tales of a married blue collared bro highly enjoyable for bay audiences
• The show is hosted by the godfather of SF comedy Tony Sparks
