On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 7 pm PDT, School of Illustration at Academy of Art University invites you to join us for a free interactive online workshop.
The director of the School of Illustration, Chuck Pyle, will explain his creative process while demonstrating how to draw clothed figure during this free virtual workshop. He will show you the different steps and techniques of drawing a clothed figure from start to finish and exemplify how to capture the essence of the subject in detail to precisely illustrate the character, and convey its personality, mood, and attitude. He will also introduce fundamental knowledge of anatomy and body design and costume history, which will help you take your figurative work to new heights.
If you want to draw along with Mr. Pyle, here are things you might need to prepare: Paper pad in a sketchbook 11×14, Soft pencils (4B), an eraser, or a digital drawing pad if you’d like to draw on your computer or tablet.
