Event Details

Join us for our 2026 Earth Day Celebration as the Green Movie Night series presents a screening of the impactful documentary The Story of Plastic.

In collaboration with Sustainable Walnut Creek, this thought-provoking film explores the global plastic pollution challenge, how recycling systems evolved, and the broader forces shaping our relationship with plastic. Through compelling footage and creative storytelling, it invites us to better understand the issue—and consider what’s possible moving forward.

Pre-Show:
Doors open early for light refreshments and community tabling. Connect with local organizations, meet City staff members, and learn about sustainability efforts already underway in our community.

The Main Event:
A special screening of The Story of Plastic.

Post-Show:
A panel discussion and Q&A featuring City staff and local organizations sharing current initiatives—and practical ways we can each make a meaningful impact locally.
