Event Details

For kids and adults:  come on out for queer-friendly traditional square dancing.  No partner or experience necessary.  Caller Eric Hoffman will teach each dance before we dance it!  With live music by the Corn Likkers.  The Corn Likkers are an old-fashioned string band in the Round Peak tradition with a few modern twists.  This event is part of the Berkeley Old-Tim Music Convention (BOTMC).  All family events at BOTMC are free. Kids 12 and under are free at Ashkenaz shows in general.

Doors: 2:30 pm; Dance: 3:00-4:30 pm

The Berkeley Old-Time Music Convention is a five-day music gathering featuring a lovingly curated roster of local and national old-time music acts, with concert sets, rollicking square dances (and a Cajun dance too!), workshops, jams, an online crankie showcase, and the illustrious string band contest.
