Join us on behalf of our friends at Big City Mountaineers as we celebrate Backpacker Magazine’s National Summit Day 2019. Meet at the Topo Designs San Francisco store for pre-hike snacks. We’ll hike from the store to the summit Mt. Sutro, then return to the shop for a celebration with raffles, swag, beers, and snacks. Let’s hit the trail, Sponsors include – Fort Point Beer, Luna Bar, ClifBar, VSSL, and Sunski.

What even is National Summit Day?
National Summit Day is a way of raising awareness of the incredible places around us and the people who make those places accessible for everyone. Which is why we’re so excited to team up with Big City Mountaineers for these awesome local hikes.

Who are the Big City Mountaineers?
Big City Mountaineers is focused on providing access and opportunities for learning in the outdoors for youth from under-resourced communities across the country – we’re excited to team up with and raise awareness for this incredible organization. What should I wear?
– Wear comfortable, athletic clothes
– Sunscreen or any sun protection you may need
– Bring water or a water bottle
