Free Hot Dog Day | Inner Richmond
Sadly, the Frankenart Mart closed in February 2016 after 10 fun years.
The Frankenart Mart is a quirky “only in San Francisco” type of art gallery in the Inner Richmond. Not only do they have curious one-of-a-kind participatory art projects, but once a month there’s free hot dogs. Cat hair toppings are available.
Keep in mind, this is a teeny tiny (250 sq. feet) art gallery. So if you’re interested in strange and wonderful little art projects, this is a fun place to spend part of your Sunday and munch on a free dog.
Here’s the Dirt Wedding Chapel Hot Dog Day 411:
Sunday, September 7, 1 to 6 pm – The current theme at the mart is Dirt Wedding Chapel where you can come in and marry anyone or anything for $5 amid dirt clods and clay clumps. Choose from 3 dirt cheap wedding ceremonies: Traditional Dirt, Tacky, or Sasquatch flavored and have a free hot dog reception.
We’re not sure if this is for a “legal” wedding or not (it’s probably not) but that shouldn’t stop you from professing your love to whomever (or whatever) you love.
