Friday, June 2, 2023 is National Doughnut Day, supposedly a real holiday created in 1938 by the Salvation Army to honor the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.

Can eating lots of donuts be bad for you? Just remember it’s also National CPR Awareness Week. Just sayin’….

In celebration, Krispy Kreme is offering a free donut of any variety today at all participating stores including those in Concord, Daly City, Mountain View, Roseville and Union City. No purchase is necessary. (Sadly there’s no longer a Krispy Kreme in the city of San Francisco which closed down for good in 2021)

This Friday, June 2, 2023 is National Doughnut Day, and if you aren’t celebrating with Krispy Kreme, you are missing out! Krispy Kreme will be making this day a fun celebration of doughnuts by offering you TWO different ways to celebrate!

There is no better way to celebrate National Doughnut Day than getting $2 Original Glazed ® dozens to share when you buy any dozen. Dunkin Donuts also often has a free Doughnut Day on the same day (if you purchase a beverage) there’s a few that have popped up in the Bay Area including four in San Jose, one in Oakland, one in Sunnyvale, one in Walnut Creek, one in Concord, two in Santa Rosa, one in Windsor and one in SFO (which may or may not be participating)
