Freespace Pop-Up Community Center

Freespace is a pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in S0Ma, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.

Freespace was originally just a one month project, but it was extended to two months thanks to successful Indiegogo campaign. They’re now open periodically (check their schedule). They host a wide array of events and projects like classes, music, art, silent discos, yoga, a free bikeshare, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes.

Kundalini Yoga | Freespace Pop-Up Community Center

Come for an evening of free transcendental kundalini yoga and gong meditation led by Lily Wang. Lily will be bringing a 30 inch symphonic gong and a NeuroSky (a fancy brainwave measuring device you wear on your head).

Please bring your own yoga mat and bring your NeuroSky (yeah, everyone’s got one, right?) if you want to participate in an EEG study and measure how your brainwaves are affected during the gong relaxation.
