Lineup:
Jel
James & Evander
Raleigh Moncrief
ABOUT THE BANDS:
Jel‘s resume speaks for itself: he co-founded Anticon, is one-half of Themselves, and is a member of 13 & God. He’s also a solo artist skilled in crafting instrumental hip-hop gold out of live sampler work. Jel’s got a new solo album coming soon on Anticon, and we’re psyched he’ll be headlining our happy hour event.
James & Evander is a future-pop duo from Oakland’s impressive electronic pop scene. After introducing vocals to the mix on the Constellating EP, the guys have been hard at work on a new album. We’re excited to see and hear what they’ve been up to in the studio.
Sacramento’s Raleigh Moncrief was best known as a producer and collaborator with folks like Zach Hill and Dirty Projectors before he released the terrific Watered Lawn on Anticon last year. That album introduced Moncrief’s unique blend of soulful pop and experimental beats.
