Free Oakland Historic Tour: Stars of Stage & Screen (Mountain View Cemetery)

The newest tour at Mountain View Cemetery is “Stars of Stage & Screen,” where you’ll meet a Jewish director blacklisted for standing up to the Nazis, stars of the silent movies and early talkies, two acting troupes killed by an earthquake, internationally renowned musicians, TV celebrities, and a groundbreaking Miss America who hit the silver screen.

Join me and fellow docent Carolyn Kemp on Sat., May 9th at 10 AM for the first tour of its kind in Oakland! The historic cemetery was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead.
