CHEF DENNIS LEE’S SUNSET SQUARES PIZZA HOSTS SF’S MASSIVE FREE GLOBAL PIZZA PARTY FOR BITCOIN PIZZA DAY
Bay Area hip-hop legends, a secret headliner, a NFT exhibit, and free pizza commemorate the anniversary of the first retail transaction involving bitcoin; pizza.
May 22nd marks the 12th anniversary of the first retail transaction involving bitcoin; two pizzas for the low price of 10,000 BTC (An est. $296,000,000 pizza today) purchased by Laszlo Hanyecz. San Francisco pizzeria Sunset Squares Pizza will be hosting this global event in collaboration with PizzaDAO at Temple nightclub in San Francisco. This event will happen globally (Vancouver, Chicago, Buenos Aires, LA, Seoul, Sunday, NYC, London, San Francisco and more!) on the same day in collaboration with PizzaDao; featuring free pizza, a NFT exhibit, DJs and a secret special guest.
Sunset Squares Pizza takes the crypto community offline and brings everyone out for a free IRL celebration. The event will display art from local NFT artists (Gabe Weis, Goku) as well as larger projects such as Bored Apes Yacht Club, Moonbirds and World of Women (some of the most predominant web 3.0 brands in the space).
Musical acts include Domino (Hieroglyphics), DJ Q-Bert (Thudrumble), DJ Zo (Dumbfoundead, Anderson Paak), DJ Bitesize, and a secret bay area special guest.
Most importantly, this event is free and open to the public! Free pizza will be provided for everyone to enjoy courtesy of Sunset Squares Pizza and the PizzaDAO (@rarepizzasNFT, @pizzadao).
