On Black Friday (November 26, 2010), 7-Eleven are offering the public a free small Slurpee drink and declaring it to be “Purple Friday” at participating stores.

7-Eleven is offering free purple Purple for the People Slurpees, which is what you get when you mix red and blue, or the political colors of Red for Republicans and Blue for Democrats since President Barack Obama’s commented they he might have a Slurpee with new House Republican leader John Boehner as they talk about how to work together.
