As a gay founder, I’ve often felt caught between tech bro happy hours and queer events that are more about policy than people — like there wasn’t a space that felt ✨real✨.
So a few of us at Midstage Institute decided to create the kind of hang we wish existed:
Pizza + first round on
No panels, no pitching — just ambitious, creative people
A room full of LGBTQIA+ founders, builders, side-hustlers & allies who get it!
Because let’s be honest- we know we have a built-in edge.
There’s a kind of trust we share that makes it easier to go deep faster, to ask for help, to offer it, to team up. Queer folks in startups move with magic. And when we get in the same room? Great things happen.
And yes, it goes without saying that the people are fab. Expect great convos, real connections, and maybe a spark or two (of the friend, collab, or crush variety)!
It’s our first time hosting this. If it clicks, we’d love to make it a regular thing. But for now, it’s just one night, a great gay bar, and some great people.
