Free Sangria Sunday at the Fillmore Jazz Festival | Gussie’s Chicken & Waffles.

Update: We just walked by Gussies at noon and there was no one there nor any sangria setup that we could see. They may do something later in the day, but our advice is you should not go out of your way.

Soul food joint, Gussie’s Chicken & Waffles had to shut down temporarily a few weeks ago due to an accidental flooding, but that’s not stopping them from having fun during the Fillmore Jazz Festival.

You’re invited to stop by from noon to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday to enjoy some free Sangria as part of a customer appreciation event and to get you excited for their re-opening scheduled on July 10th.

Sangria is likely just one per person (don’t be a rude freeloader) and while supplies last. So come by and take a break from the crazed crowds of the festival and raise a glass to Gussie’s imminent re-opening.
