Event Details

Attend a free film screening  of selected shorts by local independent filmmaker and activist, Kevin Kunze at the  SF Public Library.

His wide range of work crosses many genres, from experimental music videos
to thoughtful documentaries and dramatic narratives.

Screening includes a Q&A with the director moderated by special guest
filmmaker, Kevin Epps (Straight Outta Hunters Point, The Black Rock).

The following short films will be screened:

SAVE KUSF (15 mins) a documentary about hundreds protesting the sale of the radio station KUSF, SF Weekly’s top voted station. Guest speaker, DJ Carolyn Keddy.

DISCONNECT (15 mins) a film about cell phones & the negative health effects, made in collaboration with 07 Nobel Prize winner and National Book Award Finalist, Dr. Devra Davis. Guest speaker, Ellie Marks, Founder of the California Brain Tumor Association.

ID (15 mins) an excerpt from Kunze’s first feature film about friends living in an underground bunker. Guest speaker, lead actor Dylan Wittrock.

In addition, other surprise films will be shown and prizes include free DVDs.
