This waterfront market, run by the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA), has over 100 food, fruit, and vegetable vendors on Saturdays and the entire Bay as its beautiful backdrop.
The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market operates year-round from 8 am to 2 pm.
On most Saturdays, free cooking demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.

Learning how to cook for yourself is an important life skill and Bay Leaf Kitchen makes it fun! Jr. Chef Helpers is an innovative, year-round program for ages 10 – 16, that combines peer mentorship and community involvement with advanced kitchen techniques, cooking classes and opportunities to work with guest chefs. Kids have a tremendous amount to offer; Bay Leaf Kitchen wants to excite their students to feel confident cooking healthy, seasonal food for their friends and family and for themselves.
Sitting on 105 acres of all organic, pasture-raised, down-to-earth, crunchy-fresh, farm heaven, Eatwell Farm has been providing us with amazing, fresh-picked produce and pasture-raised chicken eggs for over 20 years. They grow hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables to ensure a year-round, diverse variety of the best produce and to ensure that their cornucopia is as resilient as it is varied and sustainably grown.
All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
