We’ll ease you into the afternoon with a very famous afternoon, Claude Debussy’s “Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune,” his impressionist tone poem with beautifully fluid lines. Next up, six dances by Leoš Janáček, from the mountainous region of the easternmost part of the Czech Republic, near the Slovak border. And the capper: Beethoven’s 8th Symphony. Perhaps not played as often as his other symphonies, Beethoven fondly referred to this ebullient and lighthearted (but not lightweight) gem as “my little Symphony in F.”
Concessions in the garden at intermission. Family friendly, accessible venue. Free Tickets are required; please go to our website.
