— Palo Alto Humane Society and Sweet Farm are excited to feature U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) in their thought-provoking speaker series, “Humane Planet: Thought Leaders for a Sustainable World.” Booker is advocating for the transformation of monopolistic farming practices and a more resilient food system through The Farm System Reform Act.
Senator Cory Booker, and Sweet Farm co-founder and climate tech advisor Nate Salpeter, PhD, will lead “Innovating our food system: Why it’s urgent now for climate, health and justice”.
Salpeter will kick off the event with a virtual tour of Sweet Farm’s climate sanctuary and regenerative farm in Upstate New York and Booker will follow with 30-minutes of presentation on his ground-breaking legislative proposals, specifically related to Prop. 12.
