We start this tour with a walk in the Castro but quickly make our ascent of Corona Heights. We will discover some of its history and people that helped shape the hill. We will then move on to San Francisco’s oldest park, Buena Vista. We will discover what happened to all the corpses in San Francisco (well, the tombstones, anyway) and then climb Mount Olympus. Much of the area covered by this tour was (fortunately) spared the devastating destruction of the 1906 fire and many wonderful Victorian homes remain. We will get to see some of these homes and provide an overview of the Victorian architecture in San Francisco. This walk features many of the stairways connecting the various neighborhoods and provides some of the best views of the city. These walks are not for the faint of heart. You should be reasonably fit to get the maximum enjoyment. Please note; maximum of 10 persons per tour. Register at my website to reserve a place.
