6:30 and 7:45 p.m. Avant-garde jazz band The Drift responds to Birth of Impressionism.

Degas in the Ballet Studio
6:00–8:30 p.m. “Degas” paints classical ballet students from The Ballet Studio.

Hands-on art making for everyone with Mademoiselle Kim
6:30–8:30 p.m. Create an animal or creature from recycled materials

August Artist-in-Residence Alexandra Blum, Silhouettes and Conversations: Articulating a Communal Vision
1:00–8:30 p.m. The artist will trace your silhouette and incorporate it into her work..

About Friday Nights at the De Young
On Friday nights the entire museum is open until 8:45 p.m. Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, tours, and lectures. The cafe is open with a special Friday Nights dinner menu, and a no-host cocktail bar is serving drinks. There are art making activities for everyone. All Friday Night programming is free unless otherwise noted.
