Best Friends Illuminated: Meet the Artist + Art Experience

This is more than an art exhibit. It’s an art experience. Meet Matthew Stansell, the artist behind our latest exhibit “Best Friends Illuminated,” featuring paintings of people on their phones + nighttime scenes of SF.

Attendees will be provided booklets filled with poetry and thought-provoking prompts that invite them to examine their relationships with their phones (or other devices) in public and private spaces:

In what situations do you turn to your phone?
Do you use your phone on public transit?
Is there a time you purposely didn’t use your phone when you normally would’ve? What did you notice?

Enjoy a drink, read, ponder, and discuss your responses with others. Open to the neighborhood; pre-registration required.
