Tree Tour with Friends of the Urban Forest | SF

Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF) invite you on a free two-hour walking tours of the trees of San Francisco, including rare trees and trees designated with Landmark status by the city.

Friends of the Urban Forest’s mission is to promote a larger, healthier urban forest, as part of San Francisco’s green infrastructure through community planting, tree care, education, and advocacy.

Western Presidio | Tree Tour with Friends of the Urban Forest | SF

Join Friends of the Urban Forest for a free walking tour of the trees of the western Presidio led by Peter Erlich, Forester of the Presidio Trust.

Meet at Rob Hill Campground and look at the Eucalyptus replacement experiments near there, then walk to the Kobbe Triangle to see pitch-canker-resistant Monterey pines. Next they’ll walk to Fort Scott to see some unique new plantings, then to the Kobbe Community Garden to see Dawn Redwoods and Red Buckeyes.
