Event Details

With Summer just around the corner and with a looming drought, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is hosting “Gardening 101, Reducing Pests & Water Usage,” a free webinar on how to maintain a healthy, pest-free garden while being smart about water usage. Charlotte Canner, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Advocate & Educator for the Our Water Our World (OWOW) Program, will discuss strategies to apply to your garden year-round to increase water efficiency, save money, and how to prevent pollution and keep the Bay and Ocean clean. From the type of plants that are best for your garden, to understanding water infiltration, you will learn tips for gardening success with pollution prevention in mind.
