LCA LIVE & AUDIPHARMACY PRESENTS, GATOR FLIXS:
GROUND WORKS
On San Francisco’s first official Indigenous People’s Day, a group of Native Artists contributed a dance performance, Ground Works, to the annual sunrise ceremony on Alcatraz – nearly 50 years after the indians of all tribes occupied the island and brought attention to Native American rights. These artists, through their contemporary creative practices and activism, are working towards reclamation of Native Lands while restoring traditional ways of knowing and making.
AudioPharmacy will be doing a live talk with a selection of the film makers following the movie screening.
Free event, with RSVP required for entry.
Gator Flixs is a recurring event, featuring free movies for the SF Community! Visit https://tinyurl.com/groundworksflix to RSVP and guarantee your seat.
Check out another Gator Flix on April 17th, where we will be screening Roots of Fire. More information at https://tinyurl.com/rootsoffireflix
