Cancelled: “The Fake Podcast” Comedy Show | SF
Please note, this event is no longer taking place.
The Fake Podcast hosts the Bay Area’s favorite comedians with an added twist every fourth Monday of the month at Milk Bar. Sometimes it’s a performer, sometimes it’s something people have to do, but it’s always weird and always entertaining.
Brandon Stokes is a co-producer of the monthly “Fun Times With Friends” comedy show at Lost Weekend Video, and has performed at SF Sketchfest.
It’s “Ladies Night” on Gettin’ Weird w/ Stokes & Holtz on this Labor Day Weekend show featuring:
- Lydia Popovich’s anecdotal humor and vivid storytelling make her a unique voice in a sea of dick jokes. She’s a regular at Rooster T. Feathers, Punch Line SF, Punch Line Sacramento and Cobb’s Comedy Club.
- Shanty Charan was awarded SF Weekly’s 2012 Best Stand-Up on the Way Up. SF Weekly says Charan’s writing “is clever and confident beyond her years.” Her ability to formulate quick connections makes it easy for her to communicate with diverse audiences.
- Karinda Dobbins’ worldview was shaped by their accounts of protest, civil rights and empowerment, weighty subjects that were always leavened with humor. She has appeared at the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival (MichFest); featured at Bay Area comedy clubs Punch Line and Cobb’s, and headlined at San Francisco’s legendary Purple Onion.
- Jessica Sele has a charm & magnetism that makes the simplest problems the most relatable & funny. She has performed in festivals across the country, and can be seen at comedy clubs all over the Bay Area.
