On March 7, 2014, come to the San Francisco edition of Girl Rise-A-Thon, a marathon of Girl Rising screenings happening every hour for 12 hours in 12 different countries on March 7-8, 2014 for International Women’s Day.
Free, but an RSVP is required.
The event will start at 6:30 pm with some opening words by Virginia Campo who will tell the story behind the Girl Rise-A-Thon, then Laura Roberts from Girl Rising will introduce the movie. After the movie, they will have an “open mic” where a speaker from their partners and sponsor organizations (Google, Causes, Intel and Girls in Tech) will share why and what they are doing for women empowerment locally and globally.
Lastly, they discuss will what is being done in the area by the featured organization, Not for Sale.
