In this conversation with Malcolm Clemens Young, former Secretary of State and long-time advocate of climate action George Shultz will talk about the history and politics of this effort, and his hopes for the future.

George P. Shultz has had a distinguished career in government, in academia and in the world of business.  He served in the US Marine Corps during World War II and earned a PhD at MIT in industrial economics. He served in the administrations of President Eisenhower, Nixon (as Secretary of Labor and the Treasury and Director of the Office of Management and Budget) and Reagan (Secretary of State). In January 1989, Shultz was awarded the Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
