Event Details

San Francisco State’s Global Museum presents a Friends and Family Day, where people of all ages are encourage to participate in family crafts and hands-on activities involving artifacts from across the globe.

The Global Museum’s debut exhibition, “Going Global: From San Francisco to the World,” features a selection of objects from its diverse collections to foster dialogue about our common humanity.

Showcasing 175 items from Egypt, Africa, Oceania and the Americas — ranging from ancient to contemporary — the exhibition explores different cultural and artistic traditions, environmental relationships and connections between past and present that still resonate with us today. Curated by Bianca Alper and Christine Fogarty.
