“Golden Thread” Middle Eastern Staged Reading Series | SF
Golden Thread’s popular staged reading series returns, introducing five singular voices to the Bay Area. They invite you to laugh, cry, and think alongside these beautiful stories from and about the Middle East. Each play is teeming with unexpected humor, surprising characters, and important questions about the world we live in today.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions and engage the director and the cast in conversation after each reading. Join the creative process of a new play and discover brilliant gems never before seen in the Bay Area.

Widower Edith is a hoarder. She doesn’t think there’s a problem, but when the city of Boston sends her an order to clean-up or vacate, she is forced to face up to her problem and to her estranged children. Armenian-American writer Greene was shortlisted for the 2014 Papatango Prize with this play.
