“A Good Day in the Park” Neighborhood Fun Festival | South Park

A Good Day in the Park is a neighborhood festival in South Park on Friday, September 13, 2013 to bring together the people of greater South Park.

There will be lots of fun games like an egg race relay, shaving cream beard race (pending a permit, of course.. nothing is simple in SF) and more, a picnic, plus a chance to donate to Goodwill and get discounts at about 25 neighborhood merchants.

10 am-2 pm: Goodwill Donation Drive
Dig through your closets, basements and garages. Goodwill will take your unwanted clothing, household items, tools, and electronics and educate and create jobs for the Bay Area’s marginalized workforce. Simply for being good, every donor will get a Kyndedgram thank-you from Goodwill and 15% off discounts at about 25 merchants around South Park.

12 pm-2 pm: Free Picnic Games with Prizes & Mingling
Get ready for some real, toes-in-the-grass fun with a three-legged race, egg race relay, the famous (in most parts) “Goodwheel” of Fortune, and more. Bring your own food (and use your donation discount); the beverages are free.

5-7 pm: Free Business Networking and Panel Discussion
Discover the untapped power of compassion in business. Kinder business environments reduce employee time off, increase productivity, increase worker socialization, and create a better customer experience.

• The two-hour evening event includes a panel discussion with some of the country’s leading human motivation experts.
• Enjoy the discussion, entertainment and complimentary cocktails in an intimate local space, Gallery 16, 501 Third Street.
• There’s limited space; only the first to donate will get in.
