A groupset up inNottingham in the late 80’sbeforepeaking during the free party heyday of the 90’sat the infamous Castlemorton freefestival.She began DJing as one half of the partnershipDigs and Woosh, with theduo starting outdue to their shared love ofhip hop, funk, postpunk, disco & jazz.By’91,they werekey inhelping define the deephouse sound for with thecollective became famousfor andwere travellingthe world with connections they hadestablished onthe free party scene.Described by Factory RecordsTony Wilson as’Culturally the most dangerous people in the UK’,thecollectivewerepolitical, inclusive andpurveyors of quality musicwho performed throughout the US, Asia and Australasia.In 2003,Grace moved to London andcontinueddeveloping her ownsoloDJcareer as wellas playing alongsideWoosh, though sadly hepassed in 2020.Grace hosted her own DiYnights and became an Adonis resident,giving her the opportunity to wow the kweens, kings,thems, trans & allin-betweenwith her ability to read a crowd and blendinfluencesold andnew. As the ‘uber grandedame of the free party deep house massive’ (Mae Smith, Exist toResist), she has appeared online for Boiler Room,Mixmag Lab LDNand CRACK Magazineto name a few.Additionally, she regularly guests on radio showssuchasNTS,RinseandFoundation Fmandalso writes, produces and runs herownrecordlabel,“Sands of Time”.
