The explosion of the Deepwater Horizon, an off shore oil rig in Mexico, resulted in the deaths of many crew members, the shutting down of the surrounding fishing industry, and the devastation of the aquatic ecosystem around the explosion. Discover the lasting effects of this disastrous explosion in the film “The Great Invisible.”

The film will be followed by a discussion with three journalists, Abraham Lustgarten (ProPublica), Antonia Juhasz (oil and energy analyst), and Jason Mark (Earth Island Journal), who will share their experience covering the energy industry.
