Santa Clara Chorale—the South Bay’s acclaimed singing ensemble—celebrates the last six decades of bringing powerful, healing, breathtaking concerts to the South Bay by opening up its music vault. The Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 performance will feature over a dozen works that have been hailed “Chorale Favorites” throughout their sixty year history. Selections from classic choral masterpieces like the Mozart and Fauré Requiems and Mendelssohn’s Elijah are interweaved with exemplars of the choral canon—works by Rutter, Biebl, Copland, Hairston, Hogan, Paulus, and more. It’s an evening that is sure to unlock sound memories from years past, pull on one’s heartstrings, and fill the Mission with pure aural beauty.
