The RILEY Project is proud to present Growing Into Ourselves: Stories of Neurodivergent Strength.

Join us for an afternoon of voices rising — stories of growing into ourselves, of strengths discovered, and of moments that changed everything. Together, we’ll listen, learn, and create a space where neurodivergent experiences are honored and amplified. Neurodivergent (ND) refers to people whose brains process, think, or learn differently — including those with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning and thinking differences. Come be part of a community that celebrates each person’s path, and leave with your heart a little more open.

You’ll hear five-minute stories and original poems from youth and adults who have chosen to speak openly about moments that shaped who they are — discovering a hidden strength, learning to self-advocate, or realizing they deserved to take up space. This isn’t a lecture or a panel; it’s a shared, human experience. Expect honesty, humor, vulnerability, and the kind of moments that stay with you long after the event ends.

Neurodivergent stories are often told about people, not by them. This event flips that narrative. By centering lived experience, we create a space where identity is honored, strengths are visible, and community grows through listening. Whether you are neurodivergent yourself, supporting a young person, working in education, or simply curious to learn more, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of what it means to grow, adapt, and thrive in a world still learning how to include every kind of mind.
