Oaklandโ€™s Black-led summer tradition is back and bigger than ever! The Hella Juneteenth Festival 2025, presented by Hella Creative, invites the community to come together in celebration of Black freedom, creativity, and legacyโ€”through food, music, art, and collective joy.

Hella Juneteenth Festival kicks off with two exclusive events onย Wednesday, June 18, 2025โ€”and youโ€™re invited to be first in line:

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Futureproof Dinner โ€“ A culinary time-travel experience curated by Last Supper Society and Chef Michele McQueen, featuring top Black chefs from across the country.
๐ŸŒ€ Futureproof Art Previewย โ€“ our newest interactive installation at the intersection of GenAI + Black imagination

About Hella Juneteenth

What began in 2020 as a grassroots campaign by Oaklandโ€™s own Hella Creative has grown into a national movement, helping catalyze the recognition of Juneteenth as a federal holiday.

Now in its second year at OMCA, Hella Juneteenth Festival continues to honor Black history while uplifting the creativity, resilience, and brilliance of Black communities.
